  In the 1841 census he was living with Mary at Aldermaston St, Aldermaston, occupation carpenter In the 1851 census he was a baker, grocer and parish clerk living at Aldermaston. He and his wife had no children living with them, only a neice, Sarah Goswell, aged 16 (a house servant). A carpenter and grocer as per the probate calendar. Value of estate less than 300 pounds, went to his wife. Burial 13 September 1860, St Mary, Aldermaston, Berkshire, England
