Mrs. Baldwyn died of small-pox in 1770 and the Kinlet estates devolved by her father's will on her eldest son William Baldwyn, then a boy at Harrow, with a request that he should assume the name of Childe. Another son Charles Baldwyn died unmarried 1811, and a daughter Catherine Baldwyn also unmarried was buried at Kinlet 1838.
