    Notes:

    As well as bringing up their own children Violet and Tom also brought up Violet's younger siblings. Her mother Rosina suffered with Asthma and by 1924 Rosina had become very ill. Just before she died in that same year Violet and her husband Tom promised they would look after the younger childeren Reg, Ben, Bill and Art. The older, Bob and Hilda were old enough to fend for themselves.
